Chautauqua County Landfill

 

FROM BUFFALO AND THE NYS THRUWAY (INTERSTATE 90)

 
• Take I-90 west to Exit 59.
• At the end of the exit ramp, turn south (left) on Route 60.
• Take Route 60 south through Fredonia and Cassadaga.
• As you approach Sinclairville, the large Cassadaga Valley School complex will be visible on the right.
• Past the school, take the first right turn, which is the exit ramp to Route 66.
• At the bottom of the ramp, turn west (left) on Route 66.
• Take Route 66 west, across Cassadaga Valley and Creek to the first 4-way intersection (Route 380).
• Take Route 380 south (left) to Towerville.
• Follow the "Landfill" signs up Townline Road (Route 59) to the top of the first hill.
• Turn right (west) onto the facility's access road (first intersection).

 

FROM SOUTHERN TIER EXPRESSWAY (ROUTE 17) WESTBOUND (SALAMANCA)

 
• Take Route 17 to the Falconer exit (Exit 13)
• At bottom of ramp, turn west (right) on Route 394.
• Take Route 394 into Falconer (Main St.) and at first light, turn north (right) onto Route 380 (N. Work St.)
• Follow Route 380 north under Route 17 and through Ross Mills and Kimball Stand (under Route 60) to Towerville.
• Turn hard left at "Landfill" sign and take Townline Road (Route 59) south to top of hill.
• Turn right (west) onto facility access road at sign.

 

FROM SOUTHERN TIER EXPRESSWAY (ROUTE 17) EASTBOUND (ERIE)

 
• Take Route 17 over Chautauqua Lake bridge
• Take first exit, Exit 10 (left exit), Route 430
• Take first exit - Bemus Point/Ellery Center. Go right at end of ramp.
• Follow this road (Bemus Point/Ellery Center Road) to Ellery Center (stop sign)
• Turn left, then immediately right onto Salisbury Road (you will start to see signs for the landfill here)
• Turn left onto Town Line Road (first stop sign)
• You will go down a steep hill and up a steep hill.
• At the top of this hill, turn left onto Towerville Road (first left after you turn onto Town Line Road). About a mile up this road is the Landfill.
