| The Chautauqua County Health Department has begun to take a new direction to public health through prevention, response and community involvement. Partnering with community members and groups, followed by effective response to community needs, is considered necessary to draw upon the full range of resources in the interest of community health. The CCHD is involved in over 30 area coalitions and task forces that address public health concerns, both population-wide and targeted groups. Areas of collaboration include the Women's Health Initiative, the Chautauqua County Teen Pregnancy Prevention Coalition, the Traffic Safety Board, and the Chautauqua County Health Association. |
